In 1904, Frank Mitchell and Charles Ness met in Philadelphia with a shared passion for sports craftsmanship. What started as a small shop specializing in tennis racket stringing, custom golf clubs, and local baseball uniforms grew into a legacy of authentic athletic wear. By 1933, Mitchell & Ness made its NFL debut, crafting uniforms for the Philadelphia Eagles—a partnership that lasted three decades. Soon after, they entered professional baseball, outfitting the Philadelphia Athletics and later the Phillies.
